Locales and Travel in the glens
- The Echoing Hills (2 watches): In the southwest of the glens lie the sparse ruins of some old city, all the surfaces of which are covered in a dense ivy. Why the Prattleplant grow here, and only here, is a mystery to all who have pondered the question. Regardless of origin they are a wonder to behold; they manage to produce the effects of speech by the movement of their leaves, and in so doing any individual plant can replicate anything heard anywhere in its root network. Most of its utterances are a kind of gibberish, though there are those who claim that they can discern repeating patterns in the endless echo.
- Lake Ichnos (3 watches): It is said that a creature of enormous size—possibly one of the first beings—left the footprint that houses the lake; if such a being ever existed there is no proof of it now.
- Eastward lies the Estuaries and the sea.
- South, to the Meadowlands and Uisgetaigh (4 watches).
- To the West, the Ashveldt (6 watches).
