Who took you in?

A troupe of traveling entertainers. For a time, they were like family to you. One day you woke up and they were gone with no explanation. Take a Storybook, a Dagger (d6), and some burning questions.

What keeps away bad things?

A smooth blue stone that helps recall dreams more clearly. Overuse can cause dream-addiction.

What is your bond?

A white crow appeared to you in a dream, holding a twig in its mouth. You awoke the next morning with the Twig (prettyyyyy) in your hand. You believe it brings you luck. It smells faintly of sulfur.

Omen

Hunters talk of a curse that befalls any who kill a beast with a streak of white fur: soon after, they are found dead in their homes. Each day, there are fewer and fewer creatures to hunt.

Adventurer’s Training

You’re spending time improving your skills as an adventurer. You’re still learning the ropes, but beginning to get hold of things after your time training with January. You could seek out someone who specializes in the same weapons as you, to further your skills.

Order of Tales

When you consult your book of stories in order to solve a problem or learn something new, roll 1d10 and assign that number to the story (reroll for numbers already assigned). On even results describe the story to the Warden and tell them how the information is useful. On odd results the Warden tells the story, and it’s on you to make it useful. The next time you act in accordance with the knowledge gained, you roll with advantage. Once the book is full it can no longer be used, but the world is filled with other books.
